This Privacy Policy explains how QuickFileConverter.com (“QuickFileConverter”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use our website and online converters. We designed the service so that we collect as little information as possible.
1. Your Files
Files you add from your device are converted inside your web browser and are never uploaded to our servers. We cannot see, open, copy or store them. The converted result is created in your browser’s memory and saved directly to your device. When you close the page, the data is released from memory.
Files added with “From URL”: if you paste a link, our server downloads the file from that link only so that your browser can read it. The file is passed straight to your browser and deleted from our server immediately after the transfer. We do not keep a copy or log the contents. We may keep a short-lived record of your IP address to prevent abuse of this feature (rate limiting), which is deleted automatically within minutes.
2. Information We Collect
- Server logs: like almost every website, our hosting provider records standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, pages visited and the date and time of the request. These logs are used for security and troubleshooting and are kept for a limited period.
- Contact form: if you contact us, we receive the name, email address and message you choose to send. We use this only to reply to you.
- Analytics and advertising: we may use privacy-respecting analytics or advertising services (for example Google Analytics or Google AdSense) to understand how the site is used and to keep it free. These services may use cookies as described in our Cookie Policy. We will update this page if we add such services.
We do not require an account and we do not ask for your name, email or payment details to use any converter.
3. How We Use Information
We use the limited information above to operate and secure the website, prevent abuse, improve our tools, answer your messages and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.
4. Third-Party Services
Our site loads open-source conversion libraries (such as PDF.js, pdf-lib, SheetJS and FFmpeg) that run in your browser. Some libraries may be delivered from a content delivery network such as jsDelivr, which receives standard request information such as your IP address. Third-party services have their own privacy policies.
5. Data Security
Because your files are processed on your device, the biggest risk of online conversion (files stored on a remote server) does not apply to local conversions. Our website is served over HTTPS, and we take reasonable measures to protect the limited data we handle.
6. Children’s Privacy
Our service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, please use our contact page.
